This piece is in my opinion my best work to date. I created a very simple melodic motif which you'll hear runs throughout the music. This is what binds the piece together. The piano takes the limelight midway through culminating in a passionate climax. Listen to how this simply melts away as the sweet violin once again takes the primary motif. The music is about looking back on one's difficult past, at a time of contentment and happiness. The problems have been resolved and the now was worth the struggles.
